School starts to plan delivery of the programme

1: Cascade information to colleagues in school/School Library/Year Group

  • 2: Create delivery action plans and agree the following key decisions
  • Decide how you are going to run The Empathys
  • Who will lead – PHSE, English, School Librarian
  • How are the characters going to be nominated e.g. will Tutor Groups, English Classes or Library Lessons decide on one character to nominate or will there be a free nomination across the school, year group etc
  • Will you pre-select books for pupils to choose from or have open nomination
  • Plan how to introduce The Empathys to the school
  • Decide how you will get the books you need.
  • Consider working with local school library services or public libraries and ensure your school library staff are involved
