PHASE 2 - STAFF TRAININGPhase 2 Overview
Phase 2 focuses on training your lead staff so that they really understand empathy and the EmpathyLab programme. The training aims to equip them to cascade to all school staff.
Our suggested timeline allows a couple of months for this. In secondary schools this may take much longer and schools may well choose to do their cascade in stages.
We suggest you weave the cascaded training into your existing school CPD programme and staff meetings.

KEY ACTIONS FOR
THIS STAGE
- Attend EmpathyLab training covering the programme's four CPD modules. Then familiarise yourself with the echoing materials n the resource bank and plan your cascade
- Plan the base-lining of pupil skills before the teaching of empathy begins in Phase 3. Share the evaluation process with Key Staff
- Set up a working party and establish its meeting schedule. Include a strategy for communicating with all staff
