The main task at this stage is for key members of the SLT , your EmpathyLab Lead and members of the working party to develop their understanding of the programme and how it can benefit their school.
Identified leaders should attend an initial EmpathyLab conference/ training and get to know the key research and ideas that underpin EmpathyLab’s work. We recommend involvement of a link governor too if possible.
At the very least, involvement of governors (including briefings and visits) should be planned in across the year.
The involvement of the parent body and any opportunity to inform families about the project, progress and content will facilitate Phases 4 and 5.
