Pictures play a vital role in conveying emotions and feelings. The use of certain colours, a detail of a facial expression, or the use of white space all help readers understand their own and other people's perspectives.
Please note:
The illustrations in this gallery have been very kindly provided by the illustrators for you to use as part of your Empathy Day displays.
We would be grateful if they could be taken down by the end of the 2023 Summer Term.
NEW for 2023: Empathy Emotions Maps
Empathy Emotions Maps are part of the Mission Empathy challenge. They are designed to help young people build empathic communication skills, naming and sharing emotions. We're encouraging them to get creative, and record their emotions throughout the day by writing and drawing on their maps. Check out the amazing collection below, contributed by illustrators, which you can use for inspiration and in displays.
